Brothers and friends of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Wake Co.,
In 2023 we ended the year with 94 members including 12 new members that joined the AOH last year. We currently have three priests who are members of our Organization, several of our members have served in the armed forces, and our members range in age from 16 to over 80. To be a member you must be a practicing Catholic and be born in Ireland or have an ancestor who was from Ireland. We welcome all men interested in joining the AOH and an application can be found on this web site under the membership tab.
January-March 2024
This quarter promises to be quite busy as we prepare for St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th. We whole heartly support the Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade and help raise funds that are needed to operate the parade. There are fundraisers leading up to the parade including an auction on Feb. 17th at the Knights of Columbus Hall, at 4301 Columbus Club Drive, Raleigh. Another fundraiser will be at the Hibernian Irish Pub, located on Falls of Neuse Road in North Raleigh, on Saturday Feb. 24th from 3 to 6pm. Everyone is welcome. For the parade itself the Hibernians will be marching in a group carrying all the county flags of Ireland. Friends are more than welcome to join us.
Our Hibernian Charity of Wake County, a 501C3, is currently selling tickets for a trip for two to Ireland raffle. One hundred fifty tickets will be sold. You need not be present to win. The drawing will be held March 17th.
